En Route. The stops along my journey.

Guess who's back... Back again! I am back on the road again! This time to discover the big country that is India. There is so much to see and take in and I am excited to experience the vast kitchen that India has to offer first hand. I am back for more flavours, more colours, more sounds and sights, more spices and most of all new people.

Real Food Adventure - India.

Starting off in Delhi, I will enjoy a packed day of sightseeing, and the best street food. I will revel in the beautiful sight of the Taj Mahal in Agra, the delightful taste of Rajasthan’s traditional cuisine in Jaipur and Udaipur, the colours of India’s markets and bazaars and cook up delicious regional Indian dishes in a number of inspiring cooking classes. I shall relax on Goa’s beaches, see Jaipur’s breathtaking Palace of the Wind, explore the vibrant street food scene of Mumbai and spend time in rural Rajasthan living it up in a 17th-century fort. This will be unforgettable journey into the cultural and gastronomic heart of India.

To top it off, I shall then spend my last couple of days at a yoga retreat to recharge my batteries and practice some mindfulness.

En Route. The stops along my journey.

After having gone on my first real adventure last year for three months, it is time to yet again satisfy my wanderlust. This time I'll be heading to a different part of the world - Asia. Or better said, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. I want to experience foreign cultures, endulge in food and see landscapes that I can yet only imagine. I cannot wait for the lasting friendships and memories that I will gather in this month of travelling.

The best of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Starting off in Hanoi, the plan is to make the most of Vietnam and Cambodia in the short time that I have. The journey will take me into the heart of Indochina. In Vietnam, I will be curising through dramatic karst scenery on a boat tour of Halong Bay, jump into ancient world's of the country's last emperors in Hue, soaking up the old-world charm of Hoi An and will let myself be awed by the endless energy of Ho Chi Minh City. In Cambodia, I will be able to discover the country's fascinating history and culture in Phnom Penh's heaving streets and in the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor.

I cannot wait to explore these two countries and hop into a culture that is very different to mine. On my last trip I had the advantage of knowing the language, this time I will have to submit fully to the culture in order to make the most of this trip!

Real Food Adventure - Thailand.

This leg of the journey is a little treat. It basically consists of getting to know Thailand through its food. I will get to know the essence of the Thai flavours, aromas and wonderful spices that make Thai food so special. I will get to know the bustling life at the markets, be it on land or water and taste more exotic fruits and aromatic dishes. I will learn about making palm sugar, experience the thrill of a passing train in the Mae Glong railway market, I will slurp noodles alongside locals in Bangkok, learn how to cook a mean curry in the jungle of Kanchanaburi, cook together with a family at a homestay in Chiang Mai, and tour all the must-see sights along the way of this incredible culinary journey.
