Day 78 26.09.15
I enjoyed a late breakfast at the hotel, which had changed, in terms of what it had to offer, from the last couple of days, and went to my room to pack. It was time to leave my little relaxing oasis and to head out to meet my new group at a different hotel.

Before I left I decided to have a little something I had taken with me from the restaurant Maido as take away. Some maki rolls, filled with tempura prawns, crab, surrounded by rice and wrapped in salmon with a chilli mayonnaise sauce, delicious!

I took the taxi there and found this lovely little mural.

After enjoying some more Internet before I finally met my group, I headed down. There are 12 people in the group, and the average age group is slightly higher than in the other groups I have been on so far. But it will be interesting to see how especially the treks like Machu Picchu will turn out for everyone.
We headed out for dinner to a local Peruvian place, where I had some ceviche as a starter. Delicious as always!

As a main I had Aji de Gallina, which tastes like a very mild curry with chicken. It actually is a corn and curry paste with chicken, corn, rice, and a little bit of local cheese. It was one of the dishes that my former guide had told me to go and eat and try out. I have a whole list of dishes for the next couple of towns I will be visiting. Ill just have to see how many of these I will be able to try out.

After dinner on our way back we stopped for desert at a churreria. I hadn’t had any churros since Puebla and they were just delicious!

I was surprisingly tired after this day and fell asleep quickly.
